FETE DE LA MUSIQUE - REPORT

The Fête de la musique (also known as International Music Day) is a celebration of music, which was first started in France, but is now celebrated throughout the world. This year’s Fête de la musique in Hamilton took place on the 19th June and was a great success, and brought together musicians of all ages and genres to celebrate music and perform in public. Some of the acts involved included: 

Highland Pipers, the Rockaholics, the Hamilton Big Band; Art Gecko Jazz Band and an assortment of other jazz performers;  classical music from Amoroso Strings, String Fever (Julie Pescud), Tara & Nisha, Anika Hayes, Aidan Phillips; and celtic music from Glenda Nolan and Sean O’Hooligan.
